ok so I'm having trouble getting my blog to post, I write it then try to publish and it disappears. So maybe this time it will work?
Well here goes again, What a Christmas time! For some reason for me this has been one of the best Christmas times i can remember. We have had some good church services, awesome opportunities to serve the community, and have had good family time as well. one of my favorite parts of the holiday has been my attempt to hand deliver all my Christmas cards. Ok, well I ran out of time and didn't get to everyone, but next year I'll start earlier! i think my new years resolution is to never send a card to anyone in town this year. Instead I'll go and hand deliver, if there not home I guess they will get it in the door?, how much closer would are church family be if everyone did this? maybe while we were delivering cards everyone would miss everyone else, maybe? what do you think about no more stamps? do you enjoy it when your pastor just stops by or is it an annoying?
God Bless

Discipleship
I've thought more this week as my role as small group director. When I was assigned/ volunteered their was not a lot of growing and moving in the church. Now thanks to our precious Lord Jesus and to those who are willing to go out on a limb. There are many people coming to church. They do not all come at the same time, however that would be a hallelujah high time! Many people in our church meet many times during the week. I believe they are all being discipled in one way or another. Now for the part that is keeping me awake. It is 4:00 am. The way I disciple someone, may not be your way. I have to adapt sometimes at the last minute as I see who comes through the door. Every one is a precious soul! My way is not your way. I am me! I am Lynette! I am special, because God made me! I think it unfair to say someone is not being discipled just because the cookie cutter they have in their hand is not shaped like yours.. Or maybe they are not even holding a cookie cutter. HUMM is that a heart I see in their hand? I thought a long time ago we agreed that we would be the hands & the feet of Jesus! When he was teaching on the hillside, I do not believe he had his nice little stack of pencils, colors,etc.etc. I believe he met these people at their level. He knew they had a lot of laws thrown at them for years. Now they were hearing something new! .Do you really think there was total quiet? Come on! There was sick people, & little noisy kids everywhere. Now they heard something different! Now they were to LOVE everyone, not just the loveable. They were not to judge! He told them where to build their solid foundation house. To forgive so they could be forgiven. I could go on & on about this. His way of discipling did not have crayons, paper, lace doilies, etc etc. It was teachings about real love. How to love. Not just the bathed on Sunday morning, but those who are dirty, hungry,& in need of love. Now back to where I started this. How can we be so judgemental? Do you really think a cup of cold water is not discipling? A little kid who is confused & yes worried, about his home, comes to Wed.evening,he is fed physcially, hugged, & is told a story about how Jesus went to the home of a sinful, cheater, that had taken money that did not belong to Him,and told that that man is loved by Jesus. Is that not discipling? They will find that love too,if Jesus is shown to them. Are not the people, that come on Wed. seeing the hands & feet of Jesus in action? Are we feeding & being fed? My declaration is this! Yes the people on Wed. eve. are being discipled! I think it is unfair to think anything less than this! It is chaotic! There is spilt drinks, balls sometimes thrown too hard! I've seen that happen at other times. Even Sun. mornings.& at FFF. So I keep a watch on events. I try to help everyone find their place. A place where they can find freedom to be loved. To be loved by Jesus! Sometimes it is a cup of coffee, with a lot of cream & 2 sugars. A lot of spaghetti faces, and the oddest assortment of sock puppets. Quess what they find? They are finding Jesus! I will continue to help people find a place, where they can grow,in their love for Jesus! I'm going back to bed I will be praying as I drift off to sleep! I can't wait for Wed. evening !
